The West of Scotland Sea Fish Training Association was established in 2000, with the support of the Sea Fish Industry Authority.

We organise safety courses for fishermen, hygiene and management courses for seafood merchants and processors, and fish friers. Many of our courses, such as radio operations, are also suitable for all seagoing personnel, such as yachtsmen or charter operators.

WOSSTA covers the following areas in Scotland:

·	Dumfries and Galloway

Ayrshire

·	Lanarkshire

·	Greater Glasgow

·	Inverclyde, Renfrewshire and Dumbartonshire

Falkirk

WOSSTA’s Board comprises locally-elected industry representatives, and there is a full-time training manager who can be contacted by mail, email or telephone.
